City Administrator requested that no action be taken on <br />this matter until August 10. 1987. This is a regularly scheduled <br />Growth Management meeting so the Council can meet at 6:30 p.m. to <br />discuss the Resolution. <br /> <br />8.2 Accepting Count <br /> <br />Petition for Sewer and Water Feasibilit <br /> <br /> <br />Pat Klaers stated that Sherburne County has paid $1.500 and is <br />petitioning the City of Elk River to do a feasibility study on <br />extending City water and sewer out to the new facility on Highway <br />10. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT <br />COUNTY TO INVESTIGATE <br />FACILITY. COUNCILMEMBER <br />CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />MOVED TO ACCEPT THE REQUEST FROM SHERBURNE <br />GETTING WATER AND SEWER BUT TO THE NEW <br />HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br /> <br />8.3 Lion's Club Statement of Purpose and Goals Regarding Lion's Park <br /> <br />A 7/7/87 letter from the Lion's Club President was discussed. This <br />letter included a Statement of Purpose and Goals for the Lion's <br />Park. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ACCEPT THE STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND <br />GOALS PROVIDED THAT ALL LION'S CLUB ACTIVITIES AND IMPROVEMENTS BE <br />COORDINATED THROUGH THE CITY. COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />8.4 <br /> <br /> <br />3.2 Beer License for Elk River Ja cees <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE TEMPORARY 3. 2 BEER <br />LICENSE FOR THE ELK RIVER JAYCEES ON 8/8/87 AT THE SOFTBALL COMPLEX. <br />COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />Other <br />- <br /> <br />Pat Klaers presented a request by the Elk River American Legion for <br />a temporary beer license for August 9. 1987 at Orono Park. The <br />necessary insurance information has been provided to the Deputy City <br />Clerk. It was stated that strong beer is planned. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE THE REQUEST BY THE ELK RIVER <br />AMERICAN LEGION FOR A BEER LICENSE FOR AUGUST 9. 1987. COUNCILMEMBER <br />DOBEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Pat Klaers informed the Council that the Youth Hockey Association <br />wishes to continue with their pull-tab operation from September. <br />1987 thru September. 1988. It was the concensus of the Council to <br />not prevent the gambling license at Broadway Bar and the Ice Arena <br />as these pull-tab operations are closely monitored by the State. <br />
