Main Street Project Discussion <br /> <br />Terry Maurer discussed the proposed Main Street Project which is <br />scheduled for 1988. Discussion was held regarding a parking study being <br />done to determine the actual amount of parking space needed for the <br />downtown area. <br /> <br />COUNCILMBMBER TRALLE MOVED TO ADOPT RESO~UTION 87-32. <br />ORDERING PREPARATION OF FEASIBILITY REPORT ON MAIN STREET. <br />HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 5-0. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION <br />COUNCILMEMBER <br /> <br />8.3. Assessment Manual <br /> <br />The City Engineer indicated that he had received comments from the City <br />Attorney regarding the assessment manual. He indicated the corrections <br />made by the Attorney would be completed by next week with final <br />documentation to be available at the July 13. 1987 City Council Meeting. <br />for Council review. <br /> <br />8.4. MnDOT Resolution <br /> <br />The City Engineer indicated that he has received a resolution from MnDOT <br />resolving that the City of Elk River enter into an agreement with the <br />State of Minnesota. Department of Transportation to install a new traffic <br />control signal with street lights and signing; and relocate the advance <br />warning flasher on Trunk Highway 169 at School Street and Elk Hills <br />Drive. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 87-33. A RESOLUTION <br />ENTERING INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH MNDOT IN REGARD S TO TRAFFI C CONTROL <br />LIGHTING AT HIGHWAY 169 AND SCHOOL STREET AND ELK HILLS DRIVE. <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 5-0. <br /> <br />8.5. Highway 101 <br /> <br />Councilmember Tralle stated his concerns regarding Highway <br />possibility of this Highway becoming a four-lane highway. <br />discussed possible action that could be done regarding this <br />was the consensus of the Council that a letter be sent to <br />communities stating the concerns. <br /> <br />101 and the <br />The Council <br />matter. Consideration of 1987-88 Liquor Licenses <br /> <br />Mayor Gunkel noted that all liquor license applications and fees had been <br />received except from the Sunshine Depot. <br />
