<br />MINUTES OF THE ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL <br />HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL <br />MONDAY. JUNE 29. 1987 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Gunkel. Councilmembers Tralle. Schuldt. Holmgren <br />and Councilmember Dobel arriving at 7:08 p.m. <br /> <br />MEMBERS AB SENT: None <br /> <br />STAFF PRESENT: Pat Klaers. City Administrator; Terry Maurer. City <br />Engineer; and Mike Mulrooney of BDS. Economic <br />Development Consultant <br /> <br />1. Mayor Gunkel called the meeting of the Elk River City Council to order at <br />7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />2. Consider 6/29/87 City Council Agenda <br /> <br />Item #4 was deleted until further notice. Item #8 was moved to #4 <br />position. Item 8.4 - MnDOT Resolution was added. Item 8.5 - Highway 101 <br />was added and Item #10 was renumbered as 15A. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE MOVED TO APPROVE THE 6/29/87 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA AS <br />AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED <br />4-0. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />June 15. 1987 City Council Minutes <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />It was noted that page 3 was missing from the minutes. Councilmember <br />Schuldt requested that the wording be changed on item 5.11. third <br />paragraph. last sentence to read: "He stated he did not believe lumber <br />yards belonged in this area." Mayor Gunkel indicated that on page 13. <br />item 8.4 that she did not vote against the motion. but that Councilmember <br />Holmgren did vote against the motion. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES AS AMENDED WITH THE <br />UNDERSTANDING THAT PAGE THREE OF THE MINUTES WILL BE APPROVED AT THE NEXT <br />COUNCIL MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dobel arrived at this time. <br /> <br />8.1. Jackson Avenue/201 Project <br /> <br />City Engineer. Terry Maurer. discussed the feasibility study for street <br />and utility improvements on Jackson Avenue between Trunk Highway 10 and <br />Trunk Highway 169 with the Council. He indicated the project is proposed <br />to be financed with Municipal State Aid Turnback construction funds and <br />assessments to the benefited properties. He further indicated that the <br />project will benefit the properties proposed to be assessed. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />The Council discussed the possible relocation of the Fire Department <br />during the construction period and also the coordination of the <br />construction time period with the School District. Mr. Maurer indicated <br />he would be in contact with the School District and also the Fire Chief <br />regarding this matter. <br />
