Liquor Store Budget <br /> <br />The City Administrator reviewed the liquor store budget with the City <br />Council. He indicated that the 1989 Municipal Liquor Store Budget is <br />planned to decrease $18.400 due to the reduction in transfers from the <br />Liquor Store to the City General Fund. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE <br />BUDGET. COUNCILMEMBER <br />5-0. <br /> <br />MOVED TO APPROVE THE 1989 MUNICIPAL LIQUOR STORE <br />HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED <br /> <br />7.2. Sanitary Sewer Budget <br /> <br />The City Administrator reviewed the Wastewater Treatment Plant budget <br />with the City Council. He indicated that the budget calls for <br />expenditures in the amount of $320.950 which is a 15% increase over the <br />1988 budget. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE 1989 WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT <br />BUDGET. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED <br />5-0. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />7.3. 1989 Pay Plan <br /> <br />The City Administrator reviewed the proposed 1989 pay plan for City <br />employees. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 88-99. A RESOLUTION <br />ADOPTING 1989 PAY PLAN FOR NON-ORGANIZED EMPLOYEES. COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />The City Administrator requested that special consideration be given to <br />two individual employees regarding salary increases. The Administrator <br />recommended that Steve Bjork be given an extra 5%. or an additional <br />$1.000 increase. The increase was recommended due to his performance and <br />the extra amount of work he has taken on in the Zoning Department. and <br />also because he was hired at the low end of the pay scale. Additionally. <br />his probation ends at the same time as annual increases and this extra 5% <br />is more in line with what has happened with other probatonary employees. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO INCREASE STEVE BJORK'S SALARY AN <br />ADDITIONAL $1.000 TO $23.000 FOR 1989. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />The City Administrator also recommended that Fritz Do1ejs. Liquor Store <br />Manager. be given his salary increase retroactive to October 1. 1988. <br />which would equal an extra $970. He recommended the increase due to the <br />dramatic increase in sales at the liquor store and the overall <br />improvements in the management of the Liquor Store . <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ADOPT FRITZ DOLEJS' 1989 SALARY INCREASE <br />RETROACTIVE TO OCTOBER 1. 1988~ COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />
