COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED <br />5-0. <br /> <br />5.5. Consideration of Library Resolution <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 88-10. A RESOLUTION <br />SUPPORTING THE MINNESOTA LIBRARY ASSOCIATION 1988 LEGISLATIVE PLATFORM. <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />6.1. Extension For Final Plat Review for Oak Knoll 2nd Addition/ Bob Harris <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Mayor Gunkel indicated that Mr. Robert Harris is requesting a one year <br />extension for final plat review of the second addition of Oak Knoll Plat <br />due to health problems. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE A ONE YEAR EXTENSION FOR FINAL <br />PLAT REVIEW OF THE OAK KNOLL PLAT. COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />6.2. <br /> <br />Conditional Use Permit/Charles Christian/Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Gunkel indicated that Charles Christian is requesting a <br />conditional use permit to allow a temporary real estate office on Lot 8. <br />Block 1. Deerfield 3rd Addition. <br /> <br />Dirk Barrett. Planning Commission representative. indicated that the <br />Planning Commission voted to recommend approval of the request with a 6- <br />1 vote in order to stay consistent with the requests for temporary real <br />estate offices for Barthel and Ziegler. Mr. Barrett further stated that <br />the Planning Commission recommended that an ordinance amendment be <br />looked at that would eliminate temporary real estate offices from <br />residential uses. The Planning Commission recommended approval of the <br />Conditional Use Permit for one year. <br /> <br />Mayor Gunkel opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Chuck Christian stated he was surprised at the opposition by the <br />Planning Commission to this request. He stated he was not aware of any <br />complaints made in regards to real estate offices and that there should <br />be no reason for an ordinance amendment to eliminate temporary real <br />estate offices in residential areas if there have been no complaints. <br />Dirk Barrett indicated the Planning Commission felt the real estate <br />offices were deterring from residential atmosphere and further that the <br />lights may be a problem in the neighborhoods. <br />
