THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />7.1. Snowplowin~ Routes and Policies <br /> <br />Phil Hals, Street Superintendent, reviewed the snowplowing routes and <br />policies with the City Council. He indicated that each truck is <br />assigned a priority route, which is plowed first, and after these <br />routes are plowed the units proceed to their assigned residential <br />routes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schuldt questioned whether the sidewalk along Proctor <br />Avenue, north of Highway 10 could be kept free of snow by the City <br />for the safety of the students. Phil Hals indicated that the <br />sidewalk could be kept free of snow. <br /> <br />7.2. Buildin~ Expansion Update <br /> <br />Phil Hals indicated that the building expansion of the City garage is <br />95% complete and that the School District has moved into the <br />building. He indicated that the final cost will come in at about <br />$172,000, which is about $2,000 over the original estimated cost of <br />$170,000. <br /> <br />7.3. Fall Activity Summary and Winter Plans <br /> <br />Phil Hals updated the Council on fall activities and winter plans. <br /> <br />6. Plannin~ Commission Update/Peter Kimball <br /> <br />Peter Kimball, Planning Commission Chairman, distributed a copy of <br />the Planning Commission Rules and Procedures to the Council for <br />review. Mr" Kimball also updated the Council on future Planning <br />Commission agenda items. He stated that there will b no Planning <br />Commission in December and the annual meeting will be held at Pebble <br />Creek on January 13, 1990, from 8:30 to 1:30. He indicated that at <br />the annual meeting a schedule and 1990 agenda items will be <br />discussed. He indicated that some of the upcoming 1990 items include <br />senior citizen housing; a special meeting date in January for NSP; a <br />tour to look at several of the plats which have been completed in Elk <br />River; a site plan class; and a new member package. <br /> <br />The Council recessed at 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The City Council reconvened at 8:10 p.m. <br /> <br />~ <br />
