COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ALLOW THE EXPENDITURE OF $1.000 MAXIMUM <br />TO COME FROM THE LANDFILL ABATEMENT FUNDS TO BE USED FOR ADVERTISING FOR <br />THE EVENT AND RECYCLING IN GENERAL. . . Builders Association of Homes <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the Council that the Elk River Builders <br />Association is having a spring preview of homes and is requesting the <br />City to place an advertisement in support of the preview. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE EXPENDITURE OF $660.00 <br />FOR A ONE HALF PAGE ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE SPRING PREVIEW OF HOMES. <br />COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />It was noted that the advertisement should emphasize economic development <br />opportunities. <br /> <br />8.2. Engineering <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the <br />resolution from the City Engineer's <br />transfer of the MVET funds for road <br />requesting support by the Council <br />resolution. <br /> <br />Council that he received a draft <br />Association in support of the 100% <br />purposes. He indicated that he is <br />for adoption of a similar <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 89-15, A RESOLUTION <br />SUPPORTING THE TRANSFER OF THE MVET FUNDS. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />8.3. Mn/DOT <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the Council that District 3 Mn/DOT is <br />hoping that the City will have a joint luncheon with Mn/DOT and City <br />Officials. He indicated this was done by the City in 1987 and received <br />e very well by Mn/DOT. A late April or early May date is bing requested. <br />
