Knollwood Area Overlay Feasibility Report <br /> <br />The City <br />proj ect <br />streets <br />Hills <br />proj ect <br />owner. <br /> <br />Engineer reviewed the Feasiblity Study for Knollwood Area; a <br />which would consist of a bituminous overlay of the existing <br />in the Knollwood. Knollwood West. Knollwood West Second. Oak <br />First and Oak Hills Second Additions. The estimated cost of the <br />is $86.200; of which would be assessed to each abutting property <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO APPROVE RESOLUTION 89-10. A RESOLUTION <br />RECEIVING THE FEASIBILITY REPORT AND ORDERING A' PUBLIC HEARING ON THE <br />IMPROVEMENT IN THE MATTER OF THE KNOLLWOOD AREA OVERLAY IMPROVEMENl' OF <br />1989, TO BE HELD AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER. 1230 SCHOOL STREET. MARCH 13. <br />1989, 7 :00 P.M. COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />5.6. Tyler Street Feasibility Report <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />The City Engineer reviewed the Tyler Street feasiblity study with the <br />Council. He stated that the project consists of street improvements on <br />Tyler Street from County Road 13 to County Road 33. He noted that two <br />alternatives are presented in the report; alternative #1 presents a rural <br />street section which has a lower total cost but would have to be funded <br />totally by the City because it does not meet MSA standards; and <br />alternative #2 is an urban design which has a higher total cost. but <br />would be less money for the City because MSA funds could be used for a <br />portion of this project. It was noted that alternative #2 provides a <br />better street for the amount and type of traffic that takes place on <br />Tyler Street. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 89-11. A RESOLUTION <br />RECEIVING THE FEASIBILITY REPORT AND ORDERING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE <br />IMPROVEMENT IN THE MATTER OF THE TYLER STREET IMPROVEMENT OF 1989. ON <br />MARCH 13. 1989. TO BE HELD AT THE COMMUNITY CENl'ER. 1230 SCHOOL STREET. <br />7:00 P.M. AND FURTHER THAT ALTERNATIVE #2 BE THE PROPOSED PROJECT. <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />5.7. Utilities Master Plan Proposal <br /> <br />The City Engineer indicated that the City has over the years done master <br />planning work for the various utilities and that much of this information <br />is in need of updating. Terry Maurer presented to the Council a memo <br />which itemized the work to be done and the estimated hours for each task. <br />He indicated that the proposal would cost the City and Utilities <br />Department (water) no more than $10.000. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT <br />MAURER TO CREATE A <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> <br />MOVED TO ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL PRESENTED BY TERRY <br />UTILITY MASTER PLAN.
