Mr. Rohlf <br />further indicated that the City Planning Commission and Council have <br />indicated their desire to hold a joint meeting and that a date must be <br />set for this meeting. It was the consensus of the Council to set this <br />meeting date at the July 23 Council meeting. <br /> <br />7.1. E{!onomic Development Coordinator Position <br /> <br />'fhe City Administrator informed the Council that the Economic <br />Development Authority has recommended to the City Council that staff <br />advertise for the position of Economic Development Coordinator. <br />Councilmember Schuldt questioned whether the duties of the position <br />would change. Discussion was held regarding the fact the duties could <br />change, but that the City would be looking for a person that will be <br />detail orientated. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ADVERTISE FOR THE POSITION OF ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR. COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />7.2. City Council Meetin~ Schedule <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Council to discuss this item at the next <br />Council meeting. <br /> <br />~ 7.3. Rotary LiQuor License <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the Council that the Elk River Rotary <br />Club is requesting a non intoxicating, on-sale malt liquor license for <br />the Janie Fricke concert. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO APPROVE THE ON-SALE NONINTOXICATING <br />MALT LIQUOR LICENSE REQUESTED BY ELK RIVER ROTARY FOR AUGUST 18, 1990, <br />TO BE LOCATED AT THE LION'S PARK. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />8. Check Re~ister <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE THE CHECK REGISTER. <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />9.1. Commun~Center Task Force Update <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmgren indicated he would update the Council at a <br />future meeting. <br /> <br />9.2. Vice Mayor Salary <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the proposed ordinance amendment <br />would increase the salary of Vice Mayor to $5,400 per year to <br />compensate for the extra number of hours put in for filling in for the <br />Mayor at various functions. This is the 1991 mid point range between <br />the Mayor and Councilmembers. <br />
