<br />City Council Minutes <br />February 12, 1990 <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />indicated that staff has inspected the operation and all stipulations <br />have been complied with. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO APPROVE A KENNEL LICENSE FOR JO <br />MAGNEY AND JOE SPENGLER AT 20722 YORK STREET FOR A MAXIMUM OF NINE <br />SPRINGER SPANIELS. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5.7 Discussion Wm. Ga~ne/Sandpiper Estates I & II <br /> <br />This item was tabled due to Mr. Gagne's absence. <br /> <br />5.8 Zonin~ Assistant Application Update <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf, Building and Zoning Administrator, indicated that the City <br />has received 73 applications for the position of Zoning Assistant. He <br />indicated that staff is reviewing the applications and that interviews <br />will take place during the week of February 19. <br /> <br />5.9 Buildin~ & Zonin~ Administrator Update <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />The Building and Zoning Administrator updated the Council on the <br />following environmental subjects: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Danny's Trannys <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf indicated that the test results from Danny's Trannys <br />have been analyzed and staff does not feel remedial action will be <br />necessary for the site. Mayor Tralle requested that staff notify <br />neighboring residents by letter indicating that the issue has been <br />cleared up. <br /> <br />2. Landfill <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf indicated that the Landfill will be applying for a <br />conditional use permit and license to run a thermal conditioner to <br />treat petroleum contaminated soil. He further indicated that the <br />Landfill will be holding an informational meeting and that the <br />Planning Commission and Council are invited to this meeting. <br /> <br />3. Steve's Oil <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf updated the Council regarding Steve's Oil. He <br />indicated that City staff, in cooperation with MPCA, has approved <br />a testing and monitoring plan for the Steve's Oil tank site in Elk <br />Ri ver. He stated that tests for the site should be in place <br />within a month. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Landmark Motel <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf indicated that staff has reviewed the operation of the <br />Landmark Motel regarding the number of guests and possible safety <br />
