ZQD~Assi~~!lt A~yertisement <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the City Council that Zoning <br />Assistant, Steven Bjork, has submitted his resignation and that his <br />last day with the City was Thursday, January 4, 1990. The City <br />Administrator indicated that the City would like to advertise for a <br />Zoning Assistant as soon as possible. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED <br />ADVERTISE FOR A ZONING ASSISTANT. <br />MOTION. Those <br />present were Dave Bosshardt, Vicki Granros, Bill Huntley, Doug <br />Johnson, Nikki Blomquist, Ellie Kretsch, Pat Rasmussen, Bill Pollard, <br />and Shane Groth. Mayor Tralle i.ndicated that the there has been a <br />lot of discussion within the community regarding the development of a <br />community center. He stated that there has been a lot of questions <br />raised regarding community space needs relating to a senior center, <br />teen center, and city hall. <br /> <br />Pat Klaers, City Administrator, indicated that the Community Center <br />is an issue from the 2001 conference and that it has been the number <br />one topic for the last couple of years in Elk River, and further, <br />that the 2001 conference has requested the City to organize a Task <br />Force to look into this matter. The City Administrator further <br />indicated that the City has recently conducted a community survey <br />which included questions regarding space needs within Elk River. Mr. <br />Klaers invited the Task Force to attend the February 5 City Council <br />meeting as the survey results will be presented at this time. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Mayor Tralle distributed a sample youth opinion survey. He indicated <br />that the 2001 Committee will be working with the City of Elk River <br />and the youth in the distribution of this survey. He stated that the <br />resul ts of the survey may be helpful to the Community Center Task <br />Force in determining space needs for the youth in the Ci ty of Elk <br />River. <br /> <br />Mayor Tralle stated that the Council is very open to what ever <br />suggestions the Task Force may have. He indicated that he would like <br />
