He stated <br />that because the low bid from Crysteel Truck Equipment Company does not <br />meet the City's specifications, he is requesting to reject the low bid <br />and accept the bid from Flexible Pipe Tool Company at $27,800. <br /> <br />The Council discussed the fact that the City received only two bids for <br />the trailer mounted vacuum machine. It was the consensus of the <br />Council that the City readvertise for this equipment in the Minneapolis <br />star Tribune Sunday Edition. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO REJECT THE BIDS FOR THE TRAILER <br />MOUNTED VACUUM MACHINE. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5.6. Bids for Sale of Asplund Brush Chipper <br /> <br />Pat Klaers indicated that the City received eleven sealed bids for the <br />City's Asplund Brush Chipper ranging from $468 to $3,550. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO AWARD THE BID TO ALLEN SPROSSIG FOR <br />$3,550. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED <br />5-0. <br /> <br />5.7. Quotes for Dump Box and Hydraulic System <br /> <br />The City Administrator stated that the Street Department has requested <br />quotes for a dump box and hydraulic system for the new 1 ton truck that <br />is on order. He stated that the Street Department received three <br />quotes and that Phil Hals is recommending that the Council accept the <br />quote from Crysteel at $11,279 for a three-way triple tipper dump box. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO ACCEPT THE QUOTE FROM CRY STEEL OF <br />$11,279 FOR THE THREE-WAY TRIPLE TIPPER DUMP BOX SOLENOID CONTROL <br />CENTER FOR HYDRAULIC SYSTEM AND FISCHER SNOW PLOW. COUNCILMEMBER <br />HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5.8. Woodland Trails Park Addition <br /> <br />The City Administrator stated that the City is considering the purchase <br />of additional park land to expand Woodland Trails Park. He indicated <br />that the City Council can waive Planning Commission review of this <br />purchase if the Council deems that the park land purchase is not <br />inconsistent with the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Council that the purchase is consistent <br />with the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO WAIVE THE PLANNING COMMISSION REVIEW <br />PROCESS OF THE PURCHASE OF 2.91 ACRES NEAR THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF <br />WOODLAND TRAILS PARK BECAUSE THE PURCHASE IS CONSISTENT WITH THE CITY'S <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />
