Main street Bridge Replacement <br /> <br />The City Administrator explained that prior to the new Main Street <br />bridge being built, it is necessary to document the existing structure <br />with photographs and a written narrative prior to demolition. He <br />stated these documents must be provided to the National Park Services <br />division of the u.s. Department of the Interior and the Minnesota <br />Historical Society. The City Administrator explained that Terry <br />Maurer, the City's Engineer, is recommending to contract Mr. Jeff Hess <br />of Hess, Roies and Company, Inc. to complete the entire documentation <br />at a cost not to exceed $3,957. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO CONTRACT HESS, ROlES AND COMPANY, INC. TO <br />COMPLETE THE BRIDGE DOCUMENTATION WORK FOR THE MAIN STREET BRIDGE <br />REPLACEMENT AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED $3,957. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-1. Councilmember Kropuenske <br />voted against the motion. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kropuenske explained he felt that the City was paying a <br />lot of money to document a bridge only to see it be demolished. He <br />indicated that he was aware that this was a requirement for the City. <br /> <br />7.3. City Administrator Update <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the Council that the sixty day time <br />limit has begun for the redistricting process for cities. He indicated <br />that the City must have its redistricting plan submitted to the County <br />and State by March 30. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The City Administrator stated that the Park and Recreation Commission <br />have requested a spring joint meeting with the City Council. Dates <br />were discussed for this meeting. It was the consensus that the meeting <br />would be held some time in April. <br />
