<br />City Council Minutes <br />February 3, 1992 <br /> <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the Council that the City has been <br />negotiating with the railroad for the purchase of the property the City <br />is now leasing from the railroad and using for parking. He stated that <br />the City is proposing to plat the property on behalf of the railroad <br />and negotiate the price. He indicated that a price of $15,000 per acre <br />has been suggested to the railroad. It was the concurrence of the City <br />Council to move ahead with this project. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />City Hall Facilities - The City Administrator reviewed the status of <br />the design of the City Hall facility building. Pat Klaers informed the <br />Council that there had been some discussion at one of the design <br />meetings regarding the City Council not officially passing a motion to <br />approve the shape of the building. The City Administrator informed the <br />Council that he and the Architect were both under the impression that <br />the City Council had given their approval of the shape of the building <br />as proposed by the Architects. The City Administrator requested the <br />Council to voice any concerns regarding the proposed shape of the <br />building. Councilmember Holmgren stated that he was opposed to the <br />shape of the building and the material proposed for the outside of the <br />building. He further indicated that he has been opposed to this during <br />the entire process. The Council discussed the material proposed for <br />the outside of the building. Pat Klaers indicated that the Design <br />Committee would be touring other buildings in order to get a better <br />idea of the proposed materials for the City Hall building. All <br />Councilmembers were invited to attend. <br /> <br />10. Adjournment <br /> <br />There being no further business, <br />ADJOURN THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING. <br />MOTION.
