<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Elk River City Council Minutes <br />June 1, 1992 <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />Councilmember Dietz indicated his concern regarding the City paying <br />most of the funds plus donating time and equipment. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schuldt indicated that if the equipment was going to be <br />used by the public he would be in favor of the motion. <br /> <br />THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5.13. Police Reserves Recognition <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the Police Reserves Chief, George <br />Zabee, is recommending approval of a Police Reserves Recognition <br />Program. The City Administrator stated that the program would be <br />similar to the program for regular City employees. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO APPROVE A POLICE RESERVES RECOGNITION <br />PROGRAM AND RECOMMENDED THAT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT WORK IN CONJUNCTION <br />WITH THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO SET UP A REASONABLE VALUE FOR THE <br />RECOGNITION ITEMS. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5.14. Chuba Company <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that Dennis Chuba is ready to begin <br />demolition and site grading work at 307 Main Sereet. He further stated <br />that a development contract which states the terms and conditions by <br />which the developer will be reimbursed for the demolition and site <br />grading cost must be signed by both the City and the developer. <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the Council that the City did not <br />receive the Development Agreement until today, and therefore, Dennis <br />Chuba has not had a chance to thoroughly review the agreement. After <br />further discussion, it was the consensus of the Council to allow Dennis <br />Chuba to begin demolition work on the site and that the City Council <br />would consider the Development Agreement on Monday, June 8, 1992. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kropuenske indicated that he would abstain from any vote <br />regarding this item due to the fact that he is the loan officer <br />involved in the project. <br /> <br />6. Check Register <br /> <br />COUNCI LMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE CHECK REGISTER. <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />7.1. Clean Up Day <br /> <br />Councilmember Schuldt informed the City Council that he was present <br />during the clean up day and was very impressed with the number of <br />appliances, tires and scrap metal the City received. He thanked Gary <br />Schmitz for coordinating the project and all of the City employees who <br />were present to work during the day. <br />
