<br />Elk River City Council Minutes <br />April 4, 1994 <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />It <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Council to take no action on this item. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />library Annual Reoort <br /> <br />The 1993 library Annual Report was presented by library Chair Vicki Sullivan and <br />librarian Mick Stoffers. Discussion was held regarding the library expansion. Vicki <br />Sullivan indicated that the project began in 1993 and will be complete in 1994. <br />Mick Stoffers indicated that automation of the library will start in 1994. She further <br />indicated with the expansion of the library and automation, she expects an <br />increase in circulation. Discussion was held regarding advertisement for library <br />programs. It was suggested that some library programs be advertised in The <br />Current. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ACCEPT THE 1993 LIBRARY ANNUAL <br />REPORT. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3- <br />O. <br /> <br />8.1. Wastewater Treatment Annual Reoort <br /> <br />WWTS Superintendent Darrell Mack presented the 1993 Wastewater Treatment <br />Plant Annual Report. Discussion was held regarding the plant's current capacity <br />and possibility of future expansion to meet the growth in the City of Elk River. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ACCEPT THE 1993 WASTEWATER <br />TREATMENT PLANT ANNUAL REPORT. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />Ooen Mike <br /> <br />No one appeared for this item. <br /> <br />8.2. Administration Annual Reoort <br /> <br />Sandra Thackeray, City Clerk, presented the 1993 Administration Annual Report. <br />She reviewed some of the highlights in the report which included the restructuring <br />of the clerical staff and the move to the new City Hall. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ACCEPT THE 1993 ADMINISTRATION <br />ANNUAL REPORT. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 3-0. <br /> <br />10. Other Business <br /> <br />Councilmember Dietz indicated that his nomination to the Comprehensive Plan <br />Steering Committee for Ward I is Mark Lucas. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPOINT MARK LUCAS TO THE <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN STEERING COMMITTEE TO REPRESENT WARD I. <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION.
