COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />5.10. Review and consider audio and video system improvements for Council <br />Chambers <br /> <br />The City Administrator explained that staff has investigated options for improving <br />the audio and video system in the City Council Chambers. The main additions <br />requested consist of a second podium and microphone for the audience; a table <br />and microphone for staff; and mute buttons for the City Council microphones. <br />The Council discussed the suggested additions to the system. Discussion centered <br />on the style of microphones for the City Council. Mayor Duitsman and <br />Council member Holmgren indicated their dislike of the existing style of <br />microphones. An option of goose-neck microphones was suggested. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO <br />PURCHASE ALL OF THE EQUIPMENT REQUESTED WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE MUTE <br />BUTTONS FOR THE COUNCIL MICROPHONES. THIS ITEM WILL BE TABLED UNTIL <br />FURTHER RESEARCH CAN BE DONE ON THE STYLES OF MICROPHONES AVAILABLE <br />FOR THE CITY COUNCIL. COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />5.11. Consider Resolution for City initiation of street overlay (429) improvements) for <br />Greenhead II and Peterson Additions <br /> <br />The City Administrator requested authorization to begin the 429 improvement <br />process for overlays to the streets in Greenhead Acres 2nd Addition and Peterson <br />Addition. He indicated that the anticipated cost per property owner (home site <br />or buildable site) is $1,500. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 94-17, A RESOLUTION <br />ORDERING A PRELIMINARY FEASIBILITY REPORT IN THE MATTER OF THE BITUMINOUS <br />OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS FOR GREENHEAD ACRES 2ND ADDITION AND PETERSON <br />ADDITION. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />7.2. Consider City initiated rezonina of Custom Motors site <br /> <br />The City Administrator stated that staff is requesting the City Council to initiate the <br />rezoning of industrial zoned property at the Custom Motors location to be in <br />compliance with the comprehensive land use plan designation of medium <br />density residential. He stated that staff is recommending to rezone the property <br />from its present use of light industrial to single family residential. This zoning will be <br />consistent with other uses in the surrounding area. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO INITIATE THE REZONING PROCESS FOR THE <br />CUSTOM MOTORS AND SURROUNDING PROPERTY FROM 1-1 TO R-1 B. <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br />
