<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />December, 1993 <br /> <br />6 of 8 Pages <br /> <br />PROGRAM: Education <br /> <br />WAGE INCENTIVE: 200/0 of the total available <br /> <br />COMPONENTS: <br /> <br />The employee participating in this voluntary section of <br />the WIP can obtain the additional wage incentive in one <br />of two manners. One way to obtain the additional <br />wage offered is to have received a four-year bachelor's <br />degree from an accredited college or University. The <br />degree must be job related. <br /> <br />The second way in which the additional wage incentive <br />may be obtained is to successfully complete classes <br />from an accredited college or University. This <br />continuing education part of the WIP is above and <br />beyond individual POST licensing requirements or <br />classes. The employee must successfully complete <br />twelve ( 12) quarter credits or the equivalent in <br />semester credits per year in order to achieve the wage <br />incentives. A grade of C or better is required. The <br />classes must be job related. <br /> <br />To encourage continuing education for all City <br />employees, the City will reimburse employees for <br />college courses consistent with the City's tuition <br />reimbursement policy that is annually approved by the <br />City Council. <br />
