By Request: <br />Tours of the police department <br />Provide a guided tour of the police department for various youth groups and <br />business organizations such as Leadership Elk River, Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts. <br />Robbery and Alarm presentations for local banks <br />Meet with local bank staff to provide training on how to react during a bank <br />robberies or when bank alarm is activated. Discuss each employee's role during <br />these events. <br />Shop with a Cop <br />An event where police officers volunteer to shop with underprivileged youth <br />during the Holidays and at the start of the school year using funds donated by <br />local businesses. <br />Public Service Videos on Local Cable Channel <br />Topics have included thefts from M.V., phone scams, holiday shopping safety and <br />winter survival kits. <br />Security and Safety Presentations <br />At the request of local businesses and organizations we have conducted training <br />on topics such as work place safety, personal safety, safety at home, medical <br />emergencies and internet safety. <br />Public Appearances <br />Public appearances at events such as the Farmer's Market, Fire Department Open <br />House, etc. Will typically do a squad showing and answer questions that the <br />public might have about local law enforcement. <br />
