The Monticello Heartland Express provides dial-a- <br />ride service within the City of Monticello Monday through Friday from approximately 8:00 AM <br />until 5:00 PM. The RiverRider Heartland Express operates in specific communities in Wright <br />County. Along the 1-94 corridor, the communities of Otsego and St Michael are served <br />weekdays on a limited schedule to alternating destinations; the City of Buffalo is served daily. <br /> <br />Park and Ride Facilities <br /> <br />Existing park-and-ride facilities in Wright County include facilities in Monticello and <br />Albertville. The Monticello facility located at 1-94ffH 25 accommodates 160 vehicles and is in <br />high demand. The facility in Albertville located at 1-94/CSAH 19 consists of 38 spaces and is <br />unable to meet the current demand. <br /> <br />Anoka County <br /> <br />Transit Services <br /> <br />Transit services within Anoka County focus primarily on radial, commuter trips oriented to/from <br />downtown Minneapolis. Regularly scheduled, fixed route service is provided by the Anoka <br />County Traveler, Metro Transit and North Suburban Lines. Metro Transit provides both local <br />and express service in the TH 10/47 corridor between downtown Minneapolis, the Northtown <br />Transit Hub and Anoka. North Suburban Lines offers express service to St. Paul. The majority <br />of fixed route service is concentrated in the southern portion of the County and is provided by <br />Metro Transit. <br /> <br />The Anoka County Traveler operates three local fixed routes that provide hourly timed transfer <br />options to Metro Transit routes at the Northtown Transit Hub. The fixed routes operate in the <br />Cities of Anoka, Blaine and Coon Rapids, Monday through Friday between approximately 6:00 <br />AM and 7:00 PM. The Traveler also operates a countywide dial-a-ride service available to the <br />general public seven days a week from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Transfers are coordinated to/from <br />the dial-a-ride to Traveler and Metro Transit fixed routes. Metro Mobility also offers ADA <br />paratransit service in the southern portion of Anoka County and coordinates transfers with the <br />Traveler allowing passengers unable to used fixed route to travel to the metropolitan area. <br /> <br />Transit services in the northern portion of the County are limited primarily due to the location of <br />the Metropolitan Transit Taxing District boundaries. Fixed route service is not available in these <br />areas; however limited dial-a-ride service is provided by the Anoka County Traveler. <br /> <br />Transit Centers / Transfer Points <br /> <br />The Northtown Transit Hub is the main transit center in Anoka County. The hub offers shelter <br />and consists of two islands, one serving regular, local fixed route and dial-a-ride service, and the <br />other serving primarily express routes to downtown Minneapolis. The hub is designed to <br />accommodate full-sized and articulated buses.
