Additionally, new <br />Mississippi River crossings were evaluated as part of minor upgrades of TH 10/47 and Commuter <br />Rail, as well as major upgrades to TH 10, Commuter Rail, and LRT. HOV improvements within <br />Anoka County were included as a candidate alternative and should in effect also serve as the test <br />for the impact of expanding general purpose traffic lanes. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1.2 DESCRIPTION OF CONCEPTUAL ALTERNATIVES <br /> <br />No Build Alternative <br /> <br />The No Build alternative comprised bus system and roadway improvements specified in the <br />appropriate agency Transit Development Plans and Long Range Transportation Plans for which <br />funding has been committed. The route and schedule modifications are to be made up to the year <br />1999. Fixed transit facilities included new and expanded Park-and-Ride lots; service changes for <br />the period included initiation of additional transit service. Any frequency and service span <br />improvements within the corridor were part of the No Build option. Infrastructure improvements <br />included implementation of all roadway construction projects outlined in the county plans. No <br />improvements to TH 10/47 were assumed in the No Build option. <br /> <br />Transportation ManagementlBus Improvements Alternative <br /> <br />This alternative included infrastructure improvements that would benefit transit operation and <br />improvements In transit servIce coverage, span, and connectivity; and minor roadway <br />improvements.
