Consider Hiring Accountant <br /> <br />Lori Johnson recommended hiring Lori Stich for an accountant position with the city. <br /> <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER FARBER AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ TO HIRE LORI STICH AS AN ACCOUNTANT. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />6.6. Consider Personnel Committee Recommendation <br /> <br />A. Authorization to Hire Recreation Coordinator <br /> <br />Ms. Johnson stated the newly created recreation coordinator position has been reviewed by <br />the Personnel Committee and that Parks and Recreation Director Bill Maertz is requesting <br />to hire for the position. <br /> <br />MOVE BY COUNCILMEMBER FARBER AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ TO ACCEPT THE PERSONNEL COMMITTEE'S <br />RECOMMENDATION FOR THE RECREATION COORDINATOR POSITION <br />AND AUTHORIZE THE HIRING OF A RECREATION COORDINATOR. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />Mr. Klaers questioned when an applicant would be hired. Mr. Maertz stated he would like to <br />hire someone by Aprill, 2005. <br /> <br />6.7. Parks & Recreation Update <br /> <br />Mr. Maertz provided an update of Parks and Recreation activities. <br /> <br />Mayor Klinzing questioned if the Parks and Recreation Commission has reviewed other <br />options for funding land acquisitions besides a park referendum. Mr. Maertz stated the <br />Commission is also considering grants and bonding. <br />
