Accept Resianation of Government Access Producer, Authorize Hirina of Marissa <br />Lee as a Temporary Employee, and Authorize Advertisement for Vacancy <br /> <br />The City Clerk indicated that Kristin Thomas, Cable Producer, has submitted her <br />resignation. The City Clerk requested to advertise for her replacement and to hire <br />Marissa Lee on a temporary basis. The Clerk commented that Kristin Thomas has <br />done an excellent job and has been instrumental in developing the City's <br />government cable channel. The Council concurred. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO ACCEPT KRISTIN THOMAS' RESIGNATION AS <br />GOVERNMENT ACCESS CABLE PRODUCER EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 13, 2000. <br />COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO HIRE MARISSA LEE AS TEMPORARY <br />GOVERNMENT ACCESS CABLE PRODUCER AT $15.00 PER HOUR EFFECTIVE 10/9/00. <br />COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO AUTHORIZE STAFF TO ADVERTISE FOR A <br />GOVERNMENT ACCESS CABLE PRODUCER. COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br /> 4.4b. Consider APpointment of Allan Pudlick to Full Time Status <br /> City Administrator Pat Klaers indicated that Phil Hals is requesting to move Building <br />e Custodian Allen Pudlick from part time to full time beginning October 16. He <br /> indicated that this position is budgeted to go full time in 2001. <br /> COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO PROMOTE BUILDING CUSTODIAN ALLAN <br /> PUDLlCK TO FULL-TIME STATUS EFFECTIVE MONDAY, OCTOBER 16,2000. <br /> COUNCILMEMBER MOTIN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 4.4c. Consider Reouest to Hire Darren McKernan as Police Officer <br /> Police Chief Tom Zerwas requested to elevate crime prevention specialist Darren <br /> McKernan to a full-time police officer. He indicated that the full-time CPS position <br /> would remain vacant until the budget would allow it to be filled. <br /> COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON MOVED TO PROMOTE DARREN MCKERNAN FROM <br /> CRIME PREVENTION SPECIALIST TO A FULL-TIME POLICE OFFICER CONTINGENT ON <br /> HIS PASSING THE SCREENING PROCESS. COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 5. Open Mike <br /> No one appeared for open mike. <br /> 6.
