His report noted: 1) seven trees requiring
removal—six along the east edge of the parking lot to prevent damage to
the concrete sidewalk and asphalt and one tree near the book drop to
prevent damage to the asphalt. Additionally, tree removal will allow for
snow piling at the east end of the campus during winter plowing events;
2) a proposed landscape rock pad on the north side of the library to
prevent continued erosion from the building downspout;and, 3) a plan
for planting native wildflower species and boulders around the windmill
to screen the concrete foundation and showcase the art piece.
Tim also provided maps showing the proposed trees to be removed and
the placement of the rock pad as well as a map outlining the planting of
the native wildflowers around the windmill with pictures of the plants.
Chair Dietz also mentioned that the EDA plans to add permanent
signage by the windmill in the near future. More discussion in January
about winterizing the trees, burning in the spring and bids for the curbs
around the parking lot.
6.4 Building Maintenance Report
•
rr r o i l  r
NATURE
