“I want to take this opportunity to thank Spohn Ranch for your hard work on our recently completed skate
park in Colton. When we began this project several years ago, I had no idea that the park would have such a
significant, positive impact on our community. The park has been literally packed with avid skaters on a daily
basis since its opening, and we have heard nothing but positive comments from our residents, elected &
appointed officials, and most importantly, our teen skaters themselves.
I don't think this project would have realized the current level of success without the efforts of Spohn Ranch.
You worked closely with our teens on the design, so that at the end of the process, the design was truly
"theirs." This made the design approval process flow very smoothly, and given that the teens were heavily
involved in selecting our vendor, this also made the purchasing decision easy for our City Council.
Spohn Ranch staff were always available and helpful throughout the process, and you communicated and
coordinated well with Colton's staff to ensure that everyone was on the same page. Once the project was
approved, the construction process was seamless and quick, with park completion in less than one month,
without any setbacks.
The park opening that you coordinated for us was likewise well-received. Our teens and residents appreciated
the fact that you didn't just build a park and walk away. Rather, you were a part of our community as we
brought a much-needed amenity to the citizens of Colton.”
- Bill Smith, Director of Community Services

“The City of Long Beach is pleased to provide a letter of reference for Spohn Ranch Skateparks. Recently,
Spohn Ranch Skateparks completed the 14th Street Skatepark in Long Beach, California. From planning
through construction, we are impressed with their knowledge, professionalism and unmatched quality of
service.
In addition to the expertise of Spohn Ranch Skateparks, we are particularly impressed with the unique design,
which was a thoughtful integration combined with invaluable input from our community. As a result, our grand
opening was a success, and we are pleased with the ongoing use of our facility by the local youth.
Should anyone wish to discuss this project further, I will be happy to provide an outstanding reference
regarding your abilities.”
- Sandra J. Gonzalez, Manager – Planning and Development Bureau

14th STREET SKATEPARK – Long Beach, California
CESAR CHAVEZ SKATEPARK – Colton, California
