b) Target Audience — Discussion centered around the fact that there is no real,
group of people for a target audience. Heidi Steinmetz expressed concern tha,
there isn't a set group of people targeted (for marketing purposes). Vance stated
that he'd like it to be open to everyone and wants to get good attendance (which
is why he wants to keep the costs down also).
Bryan Adams questioned whether the budget is attainable with expectations of
only 250 people attending. He added that if 250 people attend at $100 each, that
is only half of the budget. Discussion then followed regarding having a vendor
fair.
Heidi suggested that the committee make a motion and give a recommendation
to the EDA and City Council regarding a request for funding.
Bryan suggested doing a smaller program or two first before going to a national
level. Ed Stoutenburg suggested making government officials (city and county,
etc.) the target audience. Gary commented that the committee should have
speakers concerning BMP's and energy efficiency if government officials are the
target.
( 'Op 1, = '0 -
W"A OF Hill, I
NUIOTIFF ff 004 NE1110 11011110 OUT -
A comment was made that the Mayor has announced the conference (during the
State of the Cities meeting) so it's on the calendar.
