b) Target Audience — Discussion centered around the fact that there is no real,
group of people for a target audience. Heidi Steinmetz expressed concern tha,
there isn't a set group of people targeted (for marketing purposes). Vance stated
that he'd like it to be open to everyone and wants to get good attendance (which
is why he wants to keep the costs down also).
Bryan Adams questioned whether the budget is attainable with expectations of
only 250 people attending. He added that if 250 people attend at $100 each, that
is only half of the budget. Ron stated that the
Governor is going to be at the Handke Stadium on June 15 Ih for a Rotary function.
Vance would like someone to approach the Governor to request the proclamation.
Discussion on this point led to a comment that the Mayor will likely be the person to
approach the Governor, otherwise Paul (City Council) member is a Rotarian and could
be asked to do it.
A comment was made that the committee also wanted the Governor to be present for
the addition of the fourth engine at the Elk River landfill methane plant. He could
possibly do the proclamation at that time. Rebecca commented that the Landfill P
