Assists with the administrative functions of the division. <br /> A. Ensures compliance with records retention schedules and law. <br /> B. Performs research and other related functions as apparent or delegated. <br /> C. Conducts and completes surveys and requested employment verifications. <br /> D. Maintains computerized and paper personnel and other confidential files. <br /> E. Ensures all legally-required documents are posted on employee bulletin boards. <br /> F. Records COBRA payments and requests monthly premium checks. <br /> G. Schedules appointments for the city's CDL Controlled Substance and Alcohol <br /> Random Testing Program. Annually verifies status of all CDL driver's licenses. <br /> H. Assists in organizing training by arranging for equipment and preparing materials. <br /> I. Composes various employee communications including letters,memos, emails, <br /> intranet postings,posters, etc. <br /> J. Assists in the administration of personnel policies, union contracts, and employment <br /> law. <br /> K. Assists with managing the annual performance review process. <br /> 2. Assists with recruitment and staffing activities. <br /> A. Assists in the preparation and distribution of recruitment materials. <br /> B. Prepares and sends applicant correspondence. <br /> C. Schedules interviews. <br /> D. Prepares new employee packets and ensures completion of all required material. <br /> E. Assists with new employee orientation. <br /> F. Enters new employees into payroll system. <br /> 3. Assists with the administration of the city's benefits and retirement plans. <br /> A. Assists with the preparation and collection of annual enrollment materials. <br /> B. Assists employees with enrollment questions. <br /> C. Assists with mid-year changes and enrollments. <br /> D. Balances and makes payments to insurance vendors. <br /> E. Maintains Dependent Care and Medical Reimbursement accounts and authorizes <br /> requests for payment. <br /> F. Leads the Heath Rewards Program Committee to plan, develop, and present annual <br /> health and wellness training and events. <br /> G.
