The plan outlines essential job functions,required knowledge, skills, and <br /> abilities, minimum qualifications, and preferred qualifications. Following the development of the job <br /> description, the required skills, education, experience, responsibilities, and authority are graded against a <br /> matrix developed by our plan designer Riley,Dettmann &Kelsey,LLC to identify the projected pay <br /> grade in relationship to other positions within our plan. Staff then tests the proposed pay scale against <br /> the League of Minnesota Cities Salary Survey to ensure marketability. <br /> In anticipation of the approval of the 2015 budget, and in order to begin recruiting for this position as <br /> soon as possible, the Human Resource Technician position description is prepared for approval. The <br /> position is in the proposed 2015 budget. <br /> After the position description and the 2015 budget request are approved,we will begin recruitment with <br /> the intent to hire as early in 2015 as possible. <br /> Financial Impact <br /> This position is in the 2015 budget. <br /> Attachments <br /> ■ Human Resources Technician Position Description <br />
