There being no one to speak to this issue, Mayor <br />I<linzing closed the public heanng. <br /> <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER MOTIN AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ TO APPROVE A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />TO OPERATE A DOG DAYCARE AND TRAINING CENTER WITH THE <br />FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: <br /> <br />1. ALL CANINE TRAINING AND CARE SHALL TAKE PLACE INSIDE <br /> THE SUBJECT BUILDING. <br /> <br />2. APPLICANT SHALL OBTAIN A COMMERCIAL KENNEL LICENSE <br /> FROM THE CITY OF ELK RIVER. <br /> <br />3. THERE SHALL BE NO OVERNIGHT BOARDING OF ANIMALS. <br /> <br />4. THE TENANT SPACE SHALL COMPLY WITH ALL APPLICABLE <br /> BUILDING CODES. <br /> <br />5. THE TENANT SPACE SHALL COMPLY WITH ALL APPLICABLE <br /> FIRE CODES. <br /> <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />Request for Commercial Kennel License <br /> <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER KUESTER TO APPROVE A COMMERCIAL KENNEL <br />LICENSE FOR ELK RIVER CANINE CONNECTIONS, LLC. MOTION <br />CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />Request by Vision of Elk River for an Ordinance Amendment to Section 30-1292 (d) to add <br /> <br />Bus Terminals as a Conditional Use in the LI ,(Light Industrial) Zoning District, Public <br />Hearing-Case No. OA 03-08 <br /> <br />Staff report submitted by Senior Planner Scott Harlicker. Mr. Harlicker stated that Vision <br />Enterprises is requesting an ordinance amendment to allow bus terminals as a conditional <br />use in the Light Industrial (Il) zoning district. He reviewed past history, regarding bus and <br />truck terminals and the ordinance changes that affected these uses. <br /> <br />Mayor 1,2linzing opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />Doug Franz, Planning Commissioner-Stated that the ordinance amendment incorrecdy <br />states buses and should state school buses. <br /> <br />There being no further comment on this issue, Mayor IClinzing closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />The Council questioned if the applicant had any other type of buses. The applicant stated <br />that he only has school buses and subcontracts out for motor coach services. <br /> <br /> <br />
