City Council Minutes Page 3 <br /> October 7,2013 <br /> Mayor Dietz opened the public hearing.There being no one to speak to this issue, <br /> Mayor Dietz closed the public hearing. <br /> Moved by Councilmember Wilson and seconded by Councilmember <br /> Westgaard to adopt resolution 13-62 vacating a trail easement, Lot 1, Block 3, <br /> Natures Edge Business Center. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> 8.1 Northstar ail-Leigh Lenzmeier <br /> Northstar Rail Development Authority representatives Leigh Lenzmeier and Jill <br /> Brown provided an update on the Northstar Rail project. <br /> 8.2 Twin Lakes Road Beautification Project <br /> Mr. Carlton presented the staff report. <br /> Moved by Councilmember Westgaard and seconded by Councilmember <br /> Burandt to approve the proposed landscape plans and authorize the <br /> advertisement for bids for the Twin Lakes Road beautification project. <br /> Motion carried 5-0. <br /> 8.3 Discuss Allowed Pool Barrier Types <br /> Mr. Barnhart presented the staff report. <br /> Consensus of the Council was for staff to bring back an ordinance amendment <br /> allowing pool covers meeting ASTM standards as an acceptable barrier in lieu of <br /> fencing. <br /> 8.4 Mn DOT Corridors of Commerce Solicitation <br /> Mr. Femtite presented the staff report. <br /> Moved by Counciltneinber Motin and seconded by Councilmember Wilson to <br /> authorize staff to submit projects for consideration of funding through the MnDOT <br /> Corridors of Commerce program. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> 8.5 Discuss Work Session Items <br /> Mr. Portner presented the staff report. <br /> 9. Council Liaison Updates <br /> The Council provided updates of the work of the various boards/commissions. <br /> The City Council recessed at 8:09 p.m. in order to go into work session. <br /> 1PN' <br />
