December 2, 2013. <br /> Councilmember Motin indicated that this item was discussed by the Housing and <br /> Redevelopment Authority (HRA) earlier this evening. He explained concerns were <br /> raised and the HRA recommended this item move forward to the City Council with <br /> no specific recommendation. Consensus of the City Council was to discuss this at <br /> the October 21 meeting. <br /> 5. Open Forum <br /> No one appeared for Open Forum. <br /> 6.1 Introduction of New Employees <br /> Jessica Koch was not in attendance due to illness. <br /> Chief Cunningham introduced part-time Fire Department Office Assistant Katie <br /> Haase. <br /> 6.2 Recognition of Cliff Anderson for 30 Years of Service to the Fire <br /> Department <br /> Chief Cunningham acknowledged Mr. Anderson for his service and <br /> accomplishments over the last 30 years. <br /> Mayor Dietz introduced, read, and presented a plaque to Cliff Anderson recognizing <br /> his 30 years of service to the Fire Department. <br /> 6.3 Resolution Recognizing Public Power Week <br /> Mr. Adams indicated that Elk River Municipal Utilities is requesting the City Council <br /> adopt a resolution recognizing Public Power Week. <br /> Mayor Dietz read the resolution. <br /> Moved by Councilmember Motin and seconded by Councilmember Wilson to <br /> adopt Resolution 13-61 recognizing Public Power Week October 6 —12, 2013; <br /> Elk River Municipal Utilities helps our community in powerful ways. Motion <br /> carried 5-0. <br /> 7.1 Resolution for Easement Vacation, Lot 1, Block 3, Natures Edge <br /> Business Center <br /> Mr. Barnhart presented the staff report. <br /> POEfl £ D 8Y <br />
