Bryan Pittman
GIS Specialist
Bryan has 11 years of GIS experience using ArcGIS, Arclnfo Workstation,
ArcView, ArcGIS Server, and ArcSDE. His experience working with various
cities includes creating and working with data models for utility and fiber
data, ArcGIS schematics, creating customized web mapping applications,
base mapping, developing customized tools for ArcGIS Desktop, geodatabase
updates, digitizing and creating datasets, and creating GIS databases. Bryan
is also extremely proficient in configuring map services and creating web
mapping applications based on ArcGIS Server technology developed on the QF i
JavaScript API and the Microsoft Net framework. He has created a
customized web mapping application that includes a redlining tool, a buffer Education:
tool, the ability to load and export GIS data to and from the web map, and Master of Geographic
generate mailing labels from the web map. He is also skilled in the Information Systems,
conversion of data between AutoCAD and GIS, and has extensive experience University of Minnesota, 2005
with satellite image analysis using ERDAS Imagine and Esri Spatial Analysis.
Bryan is also knowledgeable in a number of scripting and programming Bachelor of Science in
languages, including C#, ArcObjects, and Avenue. Environmental Science, Minor in
Geography, University of
GENERAL EXPERIENCE Delaware, 2002
ArcGIS Server Development and Map Service Configuration - Bryan has
developed customized web applications containing many user-requested
tools for numerous cities. These web maps are based on the ArcGIS Server
platform and Microsoft Net framework. Bryan also has experience
working with the JavaScript API. These applications are currently in use at
multiple client sites and in some cases are maintained by City staff.
GIS Design and Customization - Bryan has used ArcObjects and Avenue to
design and create custom desktop applications and interfaces within
ArcView and ArcGIS. Examples include a custom application address search
tool, a customized identify tool, and an emergency preparedness
application.
Schematics for ArcGIS - Bryan has used ArcGIS schematics to generate
schematics for complex utility networks and to perform quality control of
network data. He has also used schematics for modeling purposes and to
dynamically check the connectivity of utility networks. Bryan has built
schematics for public utility, fiber, and electric network data.
Data Model Creation and Updating - Bryan has constructed data models
and utility networks for sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water main, fiber
networks, and electric systems.
Stormwater/Drainage Area Modeling - Bryan has prepared watershed runoff
calculations based on delineated drainage areas, land use, soil types, and
impervious surfaces. This often involved digitizing large areas of impervious
surfaces including buildings, parking lots, roads, and alleys.
Wetland Management - Bryan has worked in depth with the Minnesota
Routine Assessment Method (MnRAM) database to arrive at management -
classifications for wetlands. This analysis involves the manipulation of tables
and queries within a database, and linking results to GIS. WSB
&Associates.Inc.
