A <br /> WSBa proposal to pros4ae professional services for the Elk River comprehensive plan update ..-. <br /> ;,131 Evaluation of Natural Environment and Resources <br /> The WSB team will work with the CAC to update the pertinent sections of the <br /> -` 2004 Comprehensive Plan, Chapter 11 — Environmental Resources. This will involve <br /> updating information pertaining to: <br /> R_i ► i <br /> Topography Wetlands Soils <br /> Water bodies Geology Wildlife <br /> This section will be critical to support the City's vision <br /> as outlined in the RFP to "enhance quality of life and <br /> support land values." WSB will work with the PAC and <br /> K CAC to address conserving and protecting available <br /> r pockets of native landscapes already in place, as well <br /> as identifying methods to maximize land values while <br /> r3 conserving or preserving critical or important natural and <br /> agricultural areas. Updated policies and maps will also <br /> s be produced and reviewed with the Citizen Advisory <br /> Committee and refined as directed as part of this task. <br /> Ott <br /> �RpIN � # <br /> Evaluation of Parks, Trails, and Open Space <br /> As part of this task, the WSB team will work with the City <br /> and their consultant, who is currently preparing a stand- <br /> alone Parks and Recreation Plan, to update the pertinent <br /> sections of the Comprehensive Plan, Chapter 9 — Parks, <br /> Trails, and Open Space. This portion of the Comprehensive <br /> - = Plan will summarize the key aspects of the Parks and <br /> Recreation Plan. An inventory and analysis will occur, and <br /> goals, objectives and policies will be generated to reflect <br /> specific parts of the City's vision for parks, trails, and open <br /> spaces. This section of the Plan will be critical if future <br /> financial assistance through grant programs is desired by <br /> the City. These updates will be reviewed with the Citizen <br /> Advisory Committee and refined as directed. <br /> Project Approach / 14 <br />
