MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br />7.1.B. Review of Park Dedication for th~reliminarv and final Plats for the plat of Jabez <br />Planner/Park Planner Clu-is Leeseberg shared that staff recommends that the Parks <br />and Recreation Comnussion recommend approval of park dedication to be paid in <br />the form of cash with the following conditions: <br />1. Park dedication fee shall be paid for 8.05 acres and at the rate applicable <br />at the time the Final Plat is released for recording. (Currently, this figure <br />is $58,748.90, or $7,298 for 8.05 acres) <br />2. Park dedication for Outlots A and B shall be paid at the time those lots <br />are platted and at the rate applicable at the time they are released for <br />recording. <br />Mr. Leeseberg shared that the applicant is requesting prelimuiary and final plat for <br />the Plat of Jabez, which was approved in 2006 but allowed to expire. The applicants <br />propose no changes to the plat. <br />Mayor Dietz clarified that if this park dedication fee were paid would that money be <br />available for current projects. <br />Mr. Leeseberg stated that the money would be available once deposited. <br />Commissioner Karlsen asked what the conditional use pemut was for. <br />Mr. Leeseberg explained that it would be for the expansion of the dealezship. <br />Commissioner Niziolek shared his concern about why the preliminary and final plat <br />went from 17.73 acres down to 8.05 and is apprehensive to support it without and <br />explanation to why. <br />Commissioner Anderson stated that the past council may have had a logical reason <br />to reducing the amount of land. <br />Mayor Dietz shared that the past council minutes were not clear as to how the <br />number was decided. <br />
