July 25, 2011 Troy Adams Elk River Municipal Utilities 13069 Orono Pkwy E!k River, Mn 55330 Dear Mr. Adams: Our organization is very grateful and thankful for how your organization became a partner to us, and the victims of the storms that hit our area on the morning. of July 19, 2011. We did sustain some heavy damage to our City and the Electrical system, with the help of your two crews and one from North Branch we were able to have the majority of our customers back on line by 11:00 P.M. on the 19th. The crews that were dispatched to assist use that day, preformed very professionally and worked well with the customers and rest of the personnel involved with the repair duties. As you may recall that was also a day that was not real conducive to working outside. With the heat index well above 120° at times it was very difficult to stay focused and hydrated, but your crew handled it very ell. Moreover working in those weather conditions, and also the dangerous and difficult situation that were all faced with, I am very happy to say we did not sustain any injuries of any sizeable nature, couple little cuts and scratches. This also speaks highly to the work ethic and training of your organization. The other aspect that they were faced with or course, was the upset and difficult customers, these were also conducted and handled very professionally by your staff. Again I cannot Thank You and your organization enough for all of their-hard work and support that we received during the difficult time we were facing.
