Hazardous
waste spills will be reported immediately to emergency response agencies via
emergency dispatch service. The release of non-hazardous materials will be
reported to the city no later than the next business day.
• If a gas station with an underground tank is proposed in the area, annual
licensing from the MPCA would be needed.
20. Solid Wastes, Hazardous Wastes, Storage Tanks.
a. Describe types, amounts and compositions of solid or hazardous wastes,
including solid animal manure, sludge and ash, produced during
construction and operation. Identify method and location of disposal. For
projects generating municipal solid waste, indicate if there is a source
separation plan; describe how the project will be modified for recycling. If
hazardous waste is generated, indicate if there is a hazardous waste
minimization plan and routine hazardous waste reduction assessments.
' No hazardous wastes are anticipated to be produced by the development scenarios.
Municipal solid waste will be hauled away by the municipal garbage service and
' residents will be encouraged to recycle. Table 20-1 outlines estimated quantities of
municipal solid waste for each development scenario. These numbers are
approximated for use within the AUAR.

n

1

Table 20-1.
