Prior Lake /Savage Arena <br />Prior Lake, Minnesota <br />r~ ~~ ~' <br />t_.~ ` f„" <br />~~ ~~% <br />The Prior Lake/Savage Youth Hockey Association constructed an ice <br />arena project in the city of Prior Lake. The project consists of two ice <br />sheets and constructed on the local School District's property at Twin <br />Oaks Middle School <br />The 80,000 SF arena contains two NHL sized ice sheets.The game sheet <br />has 650 permanent seats with locker facilities below. The practice <br />sheet has with 650 temporary seats and in the future will be replaced <br />with permanent seats and lockers to match the original Game sheet. <br />During the same time this proposal was being made, the Shakopee <br />Mdewakanton Sioux Tribal Counsel passed a resolution to expand <br />their Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Center with a <br />second sheet of ice. HTG Architects, the original Dakotah! Sport & <br />Fitness Center architect, was commissioned to design the second <br />ice sheet, a featured arena in this brochure. The Prior Lake/Savage <br />Youth Hockey Association, a long time contracted ice renter at the <br />Community Center, focused its attention on expanding their original <br />rental agreement. <br />*The project was designed by Architect Chuck Freiberg while in prior <br />association <br />htg-architects.com <br />architects <br />
