PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />PARK IMPROVEMENTS: <br />Phase II of the recreation complex development which <br />emphasizes soccer fields; the bituminous surfacing of the <br />railroad trail from School Street to County Road 33; and <br />the construction of a pedestrian trail along County Road <br />44 from Highway 10 to County Road 1; and the purchase <br />of land and development of a park on the east side of <br />Highway 169. <br /> <br />SURFACE WATER MANAGEMENT: <br />Installation of a culvert under the railroad crossing on <br />the east side of Highway 169 near Ditch 10. <br /> <br />CITY MAINTENANCE: <br />Overlay and seal coat City streets where necessary <br /> <br />PARK IMPROVEMENTS: <br /> Smaller park projects throughout the City park system <br /> <br />EQUIPMENT: <br />Police Vehicles <br />Street/Park Truck <br />Emergency Preparedness Siren <br />Park Mower <br /> <br />COST AND FINANCING <br /> <br />THESE PROJECTS WILL ONLY TAKE PLACE IF A <br />PUBLIC REFERENDUM BOND IS APPROVED BY <br />THE VOTERS... $110,000 for Phase II of the recreation <br />complex; $95,000 for the railroad trail bituminous <br />surface; and $83,000 for the County Road 44 trail; and <br />$100,000 for the East Highway 169 Park. <br /> <br />$100,000 - The developers of the Hohlen property will <br />pay a share of this project with the city surface water <br />management fund paying the balance. <br /> <br />$60,000 - General Fund Budget <br /> <br />$30,000 - City Park Dedication Fees <br /> <br />$220,000 - City General Fund Budget, equipment <br />certificates and equipment reserves. <br /> <br />Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Year - 1998 Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
