CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) YEAR - 1999 <br /> <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />COMPLETE 1998 PROJECTS:. <br />Western Area Phase III trunk sewer and water project <br />County Road 12 project <br />Upland Avenue and Highway 10 intersection and signal <br /> <br />HIGHWAY 169 PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE: <br />Construction of a pedestrian bridge just north of School <br />Street over Highway 169 from the city water tower <br />property to the MnDOT maintenance garage property. <br /> <br />SURFACE WATER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM: <br />Major reconstruction of the southern part of Ditch 28. <br /> <br />Install a larger culvert under the railroad crossing at <br />County Ditch 10 to control the increased surface water <br />flow generated by residential and commercial <br />development projects. <br /> <br />OLD CORE VILLAGE STREETS/SIDEWALKS: <br />Year one of a five year reconstruction plan of the old core <br />village streets and sidewalks. <br /> <br />COST AND FINANCING <br /> <br />SEE 1998 CIP NARRATIVE <br /> <br />$740,000 - The state will finance $400,000 of this project <br />and the city will finance the balance through local <br />contributions (fundraising efforts by the Chamber of <br />Commerce) and Municipal State Aid funds. <br /> <br />$140,000 - The city will finance this through its surface <br />water management fund. <br /> <br />$110,000 - Surface Water Management Fund <br /> <br />Total project is $800,000 plus...Phase I is $175,000 with <br />50% to be financed by the city through its capital <br />projects and/or street reserves and 50% to be assessed <br />out to benefited property owners. <br /> <br />Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Year ~ 1999 Page I <br /> <br /> <br />
