Call Meetinr To Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of t.he Elk River <br />Park and Recreation Commission was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by <br />Chair Dave Anderson. <br /> <br />" <br />(., . <br /> <br />Consider 5/8/91 Agenda <br /> <br />MIKE O'BRIEN MOVED TO APPROVE THE 5/8/91 PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />AGENDA. DANA ANDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Consider 4/3/91 Park anct Recreation Commission Minutes <br /> <br />TODD MIXER MOVED TO APPROVE THE 4/3/91 PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />MINUTES. MIKE O'BRIEN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Open Mike <br /> <br />Representatives of the Elk River Country Club, Tony Rude and Charlie <br />Schuldt, were in attendance to present a letter requesting City <br />assistance for bituminous paving of their parking lot (Exhibit 4 is <br />attached). The sum of the assistance would be approximately $30,000. <br />Tn exchange for the assist.ance, the Elk River Country Club would enter <br />into a 20 year agreement with the City of Elk River regarding the use <br />of the parking lots, access road and cross country ski trails. The <br />Ci ty and the Elk River Country Club do not at the present time have a <br />long term agreement regarding these issues. Chair Dave Anderson stated <br />that he would like to have a fence and eventually a hedge type planting <br />in order to secure the boundary hetween the City park and the Elk River <br />Country Club. Commission member Clete Lipetzky stated that he prefers <br />no fence and would like to keep an open relationship hetween the City <br />park and the Elk River Country Club. Mr. Lipetzky also stated that he <br />would support helping the Elk River Country Club with the blacktop <br />issue. <br /> <br />BYRON HOUGHTELIN MOVED TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL THAT THE PARK <br />AND RECREATION COMMISSION IS IN SUPPORT OF THE COUNTRY CLUB ISSUE <br />
