JANUARY 12. 1987 <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gunkel. Councilmembers Dobel. Tralle. Holmgren <br />and Schuldt <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Pat Klaers; City Administrator. Stephen Rohlf; Building <br />and Zoning Administrator and Dave Sellergren; City Attorney <br /> <br />1. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Gunkel. <br /> <br />2. Consideration of 1/12/87 Agenda <br /> <br />The following items were added to the agenda under other business: <br />Highway 201. EDC Vacancies. Solid Waste Ordinance. Bowling License. <br />Hinkle resolution. Engstrom resolution and Cable TV Item 7.2. was <br />deleted from the agenda. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE MOVED TO APPROVE THE AGENDA AS AMENDED . <br />COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 5-0. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Consideration of 1/5/87 City Council Minutes <br /> <br />Councilmember Schuldt noted he would like the words "but suggested that <br />after February the fee be doubled" deleted on page 6. second paragraph. <br />regarding cigarette licenses. He indicated he did not say this. <br /> <br />It was noted that on page 6. first paragraph. the second was not <br />indicated in the motion. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE MOVED TO APPROVE <br />COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> <br />THE 1/5/87 MINUTES AS AMENDED. <br />THE MOTION PASSED 5-0. <br /> <br />4. Open Mike <br /> <br />Mayor Gunkel noted that Mr. Bixby had been issued a deadline by the City <br />Council for completing certain elements of construction on the dwelling <br />he is constructing located on Lot 2. Block 3. Greenhead Acres 3rd <br />Addition. She further noted that as of this time Mr. Bixby has not met <br />his deadline. <br /> <br />Mr. Bixby was present and stated that he has looked into the possibility <br />of obtaining a V.A. loan to complete his home. He stated that this would <br />take some time. In the meantime he has started proceedings to obtain a <br />$5.000 loan from a loan company. which would be enough money to complete <br />the corrections required by the City Council. <br /> <br />The Building and Zoning Administrator questioned Mr. Bixby as to why he <br />had not applied for a loan prior to this point. Mr. Bixby indicated he <br />was trying to establish credit before applying for a loan. The Building <br />and Zoning Administrator noted that without a loan he would not recommend <br />an extension for Mr. Bixby to complete his house. <br />
