Mr. Bixby stated it would take <br />weeks because part of the material will take longer to <br /> <br />Mr. Jim Lundquist stated he did not feel the Council should grant <br />extension until the V.A. loan is approved. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schuldt questioned Mr. Bixby as to what he would do if the <br />V.A. loan did not go through. Mr. Bixby stated he would rather give the <br />house away as to having it tore down. He further stated he felt it would <br />be easier to secure a V.A. loan once the outside of the house is <br />complete. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE MOVED TO TABLE THIS ISSUE UNTIL THE NEXT COUNCIL <br />MEETING TO BE HELD JANUARY 26. 1987. PENDING STAFF FINDINGS ON THE <br />VALIDITY OF A $5.000 LOAN AND THE FEASIBILITY OF THE V~A.DESIGNATING <br />FUNDS BEFORE A HOUSE IS COMPLETE. COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 5-0. <br /> <br />5.1. Chamber of Commerce 1/20/87 meeting Update <br /> <br />Jackie Schuellein was present and discussed the proposed agenda for the <br />"State of the City Program" to be held January 20. 1987. <br /> <br />Discussion was held at this time as to the topic each Councilmember would <br />speak about. The following was tentatively decided: <br /> <br />Councilmember Tralle - Economic Development <br />Councilmember Schuldt - Main Street project <br />Councilmember Dobel - Stoplight at School St. & 169 timetable <br />Mayor Gunkel - 1986 Highlights <br /> <br />5.2. Library Board Interview - Darryl Bronniche <br /> <br />Mayor Gunkel noted that at the last Council meeting the Council <br />interviewed Elizabeth Kremer for the Library Board and at that time the <br />Council concurred that Mr. Darryl Bronniche would also be interviewed by <br />the Council for the position of Library Board member. <br /> <br />The Council at this time interviewed Mr. Darryl Bronniche for a position <br />on the Library Board. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the City Council to make a decision regarding the <br />appointment of Mr. Bronniche or Ms. Kremer at the next regular Council <br />meeting. <br />
