Call meetin~ to order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River <br />City Council was called to order by Mayor Tralle at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />2. Consider 2/4/91 Council A~enda <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE 2/4/91 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA. <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />4It 3.1. Consider 1/12/91 Council Minutes <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO APPROVE THE 1/12/91 COUNCIL MINUTES. <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />3.2. Consider 1/28/91 Council Minutes <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE 1/28/91 COUNCIL MINUTES. <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />4. Open Mike <br /> <br />Dennis Chuba addressed the Council regarding the allowable sign height <br />for a sign located at his business at 317 Main Street. He suggested <br />that the City restudy the allowable sign height for commercial (C2) <br />businesses. He indicated that the maximum allowable sign height <br />allowed by the ordinance at this time is 60 inches and indicated that <br />this is not sufficient. Mayor Tralle directed the Building and Zoning <br />Department to review whether it would be appropriate to consider a <br />change in the ordinance. Also, if a hardship exists, then Mr. Chuba <br />could apply for a variance. <br /> <br />5.1. Naples Street Discussion <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Terry Maurer explained that the residents have petitioned to improve <br />Naples Street and 186th Avenue to City standards. Mr. Maurer indicated <br />that certain issues should be considered prior to a decision being made <br />to go ahead with the project. The City should consider whether a <br />permanent street should be constructed in an area that is planned for <br />
