VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING March 18, 1905 At a meeting of the Village Council held at Grant Army Hall, the following-named were present, viz.: Present: A.H. Nickerson, Pres.; Justus deBooy and H.B. Nickerson, Trustees; H.C. Hastings, Village Recorder. Sealed bids in pursuance to a notice duly published were received and read, for the sales of $7500 of Village of Elk River bonds. The bids were as follows: W.J. Hayes & Sons, Cleveland $7,651 Albert C. Case, New York \[illegible\] 7,525 6% 7,850 Wells & Dickey Co., Mpls. 5% int. 7,533 Security Svgs. Bk. & Trust Co., Toledo, O\[hio\] 6% 7,880 C.H. Coffin, Chicago 7,551 McDonald McCay & Co., Chicago 15 year bonds 5% 7,731 Thos. J. Bolger Co., Chicago Blk. Bonds & accrued int. 7,550 Open bids were discussed as follows: W.M. Stoddard & Co., Mpls. $150, $140 & $125 premium & int. accruing & blk. bonds, int. 5% on $60, premium 4-1/2% bonds F.E. Maynard, St. Paul $130, $140 & $155 premiums on on \[sic\] 5% bonds, $55 premiums on 4-1/2% bonds On motion of Justus deBooy and seconded by H.B. Nickerson, Trustees, all of the sealed bids received and found and read at this meeting were rejected. On motion it was voted to adjourn to meet at 2:15 P.M. Council met pursuant to adjournment at 2:15 P.M. at the office of C.S. Wheaton. A.H. Nickerson, Justus deBooy, H.B. Nickerson and H.C. Hastings present. On motion of Justus deBooy and seconded by H.B. Nickerson, Trustees, it was unanimously voted that all \[bids\]* for the sale of bonds as advertised by the Village Council be and are hereby rejected.
