Funds for both of these conferences <br />were included in the administration and finance budgets. <br /> <br />The International City Managers Association conference will be held in <br />Cincinnati in September. The city administrator is not sure he will attend, <br />but would like approval in case he does. The Government Finance Officers <br />Association of the United States and Canada will hold its annual conference <br />in Chicago in June. I originally had not planned to attend this conference; <br />however, there are many GASB 34 sessions that would be beneficial as we <br />begin implementation of GASB 34. <br /> <br />Action Requested <br /> <br />The City Council is asked to approve national conference attendance for the <br />city administrator and finance director. <br /> <br />s:/council/confattd <br /> <br />13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
