Ach, City Planner~~~C~-' <br />July 17, 1995 <br />SUBJECT: Consider Temporary Use of the Former <br />County Market Space in the Elk River <br />Mall <br />Issue <br />Consider granting a permit to Living Waters Church for temporary use of the <br />former County Market space to conduct a two week Evangelistic crusade. <br />Attachments <br />• • Letter from Living Waters Church <br />• Letter from Jack Sheedy <br />• Site Plan <br />Overview <br />Living Waters Church is planning on having atwo-week Evangelistic <br />crusade from August 18 through September 1st. The site they would like to <br />utilize is the former County Market space in Elk River Mall. During the two- <br />weekperiod, the meetings are expected to begin at 7 p.m. and end at <br />approximately 11 p.m. Approximately 1,500 chairs, a small stage and a <br />sound system will be set up to accommodate the meetings. <br />Former County Market Space <br />Approximately 36,000 square feet of space is available as a result of the <br />County Market leaving the Elk River Mall. A letter from Jack Sheedy, agent <br />for the Elk River Mall, has indicated the vacant space is in the process of <br />having leftover materials removed, cleaning the floors, walls, and lights to <br />make the space usable for this request, and hopefully, future tenants. <br />Upon receiving this application from Living Waters Church, the building <br />• official and fire chief were contacted to request their inspection of the space <br />s: co,~~~in~~gW <br />13065 Orono Parkway • P.O.
