*Item 3.3.* <br /> <br />River <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />Lori Johnson, Finance Director <br /> <br />January 22, 2002 <br /> <br />Approve Pay Equity Implementation Report <br /> <br />The 1984 Local Government Pay Equity Act (Act) requires that each local government <br />jurisdiction report its pay data to the Minnesot~ Department of Employee Relations <br />(DOER) every three years to determine its cor~phance with the Act. The City's report due <br />on January 31, 2002, indicates that the City is again in compliance with the Act. <br /> <br />Copies of the compliance and implementation }eports are attached for your review. In order <br />to be in compliance, the underpayment ratio mCst be in excess of 80 percent, or if it is less <br />than 80 percent, the T-test results must pass. The City's underpayment ratio is 77.6%, but <br />the T-test results pass. The DOER will reviewithe reports and notify the City of the results; <br />however, based on the information presented, it appears that the City is in compliance ~vith <br />the Act as of December 31, 2001. <br /> <br />Action Requested <br /> <br />The City Council is asked to approve the pay equity implementation and compliance reports <br />as attached. <br /> <br /> <br />
