One bid was received from the Zamboni <br />Company based out of Paramount California in the amount of $101,398.12. This included all the <br />alternates that we asked them to provide for us. After further review, the automatic snowbreaker and the <br />snow light tank were removed from the bid reducing the final price to $99,986.07. With tax and freight <br />the final price of the new ice resurfacer is $109,085.16. Staff is working with the vendor to see what the <br />trade in value is on the old resurfacer. Depending on what the vendor will offer us for the machine, we <br />may want to try to sell it on our own. I will be able to provide an update to the council at the meeting. If <br />approved, the machine will be delivered in October. <br />Financial Impact <br />Funding for the new resurfacer will come from liquor store funds. The amount that was budgeted for the <br />new resurfacer is $100,000.00. The actual amount of the bid came in about 9% higher, excluding any <br />trade in value.
