City Administrator; <br />Steve Ach, City Planner, Terry Maurer, City Engineer; and Debbie <br />Kleckner, Recording Secretary <br /> <br />1. Call Meeting To Order <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. the meeting of the Elk River Economic <br />Development Authority was called to order at 4: 17 p.m. by President Gongoll. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Review Directive bv Strateaic Plannina Task Force and Primary Meetina <br />Objectives - Paul Steinman <br /> <br />Paul indicated the primary goal for the EDA worksession is to complete an <br />action plan to expand the number of acres of land zoned 1-1 (Light Industrial) <br />and 1-2 (Medium Industrial) or Business Park to approximately 300 acres. Staff has <br />identified 8 potential areas using the following criteria: <br /> <br />- utility availability - present (0-1 year) and future (1-5 years) <br />- current zoning/land use <br />- surrounding land uses <br />- market potential <br />- transportation/access <br />- topography <br />- soil conditions (Le. wetlands) <br /> <br />Paul noted that ownership issues are not being considered in the criteria at this <br />point. <br /> <br />Commissioner Duitsman indicated the recommendations from the EDA will be <br />provided to the Strategic Planning Task Force to aid them in their overall <br />planning recommendations. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Eastern Area Plan - Transportation/Land Use - Terrv Maurer <br />
