Recording Secretary <br /> <br />1. Call Meetina To Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. the meeting of the Elk River Economic <br />Development Authority was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by President Gongo/I. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Consider Aaenda <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER BENDER MOVED TO APPROVE THE OCTOBER 14. 1996.EDA <br />AGENDA. COMMISSIONER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 7-0. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Consider Consent Aaenda <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER DWYER MOVED TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />3.1 SEPTEMBER 9. 1996 EDA MINUTES - APPROVED <br />3.2 CHECK REGISTER - APPROVED <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER BENDER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> <br />4. Open Mike <br /> <br /> <br />No one appeared for this item. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Discuss Possible Loan Fund Proqram for SAC/WAC Charaes <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Paul Steinman, Executive Director, discussed with the Commission the possibility <br />of financing SAC/WAC charges in specific cases where a redevelopment <br />project is being encouraged. The EDA Commission had some concerns <br />regarding the fact that SAC/WAC charges on restaurants are too high. The <br />Commission expressed the need to encourage sit down restaurants in Elk River <br />and would like to look at a different structure for restaurants in cases where a <br />redevelopment project is being encouraged and the use being proposed <br />appears desirable. <br />
